Cookie Policy

Gradd uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you logged in, and — only if you opt in — one marketing cookie from Meta (Facebook) to measure how our advertising performs. We use no analytics cookies. The marketing cookie never loads unless you accept it in our cookie banner, and you can decline or withdraw at any time.

What Is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies can serve different purposes: some are essential to make a site function, others track your behaviour across the web for advertising purposes.

Cookies Gradd Uses

Gradd uses two categories of cookie: strictly necessary functional cookies, which are always on and cannot be switched off without breaking your ability to log in; and — only with your opt-in consent — one marketing cookie from Meta. Decline the banner and only the strictly necessary cookies are ever set.

sb-[project-ref]-auth-tokenStrictly Necessary

Provider: Supabase · Type: HTTP-only, Secure · Duration: Session / up to 7 days (sliding refresh)

This cookie stores your encrypted authentication session token. It is set by Supabase SSR when you log in and allows Gradd's server to verify your identity on each page request. Without it you cannot remain logged in. The cookie is HTTP-only (not accessible to JavaScript) and transmitted over HTTPS only, providing strong protection against session hijacking.

sb-[project-ref]-auth-token-code-verifierStrictly Necessary

Provider: Supabase · Type: HTTP-only, Secure · Duration: Short-lived (OAuth flow only)

A short-lived cookie used during the PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange) OAuth flow to prevent authorisation code interception attacks. It is deleted immediately after login completes.

Marketing Cookie (Only If You Opt In)

_fbp / fr (Meta Pixel)Marketing · Consent

Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd · Type: _fbp first-party (up to 90 days); fr third-party, set on facebook.com when you are signed in to Facebook · Loaded only after you accept

When you accept marketing cookies in our banner, we load the Meta Pixel. It lets us measure whether visits and sign-ups came from our Facebook and Instagram ads, and support retargeting to people who have shown interest. It is set only after you click Accept— if you decline, or ignore the banner, the pixel is never loaded and neither cookie is set. You can withdraw consent at any time using the “Change your cookie choice” button on this page, and we re-ask for consent every six months. Legal basis: your prior consent under the ePrivacy Regulations and GDPR Article 6(1)(a).

Changed your mind? This resets your choice and re-shows the banner. If you had accepted, it also deletes the _fbp cookie.

What We Do Not Use

Your Choice Over Marketing Cookies

Under the ePrivacy Regulations (SI 336/2011, implementing the EU Cookie Directive) and guidance from the Data Protection Commission, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have requested are exempt from the consent requirement — so our login cookies are always on. The Meta marketing cookie is not strictly necessary, so it requires your prior consent.

We collect that consent through a cookie banner. Accept and Decline are offered with equal prominence; declining, or simply not choosing, means the Meta Pixel is never loaded. If you accept, you can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies, and we ask again every six months.

Managing or Deleting Cookies

You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Deleting the Gradd session cookie will log you out. You can also log out via the Gradd interface, which clears the session cookie immediately.
